Our aim is to ensure you receive as much information as possible about Ravens Wood Sixth Form, to enable you to make informed choices of the courses you wish to study.

To study A Level qualifications, students require a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 5 or above, including Grade 5 in Mathematics and Grade 5 in English Language and/or Literature. A minimum of a Grade 5 is required at GCSE in the subject students propose to study at A Level.
To study BTEC Vocational qualifications, students require 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including Mathematics and English Language and/or Literature.
Students will be asked to select 3 subjects to study at Ravens Wood, with those who achieve highly at GCSE offered a 4th subject; All courses run as linear, two year A Levels.

Yes. All current Year 11 students will meet with a member of the senior team to discuss their GCSE progress and their future subject choices.

You will be aware that our students did not sit their examinations in the summer of 2020, and performance tables for 2020 have been suspended. We therefore continue to publish the 2019 results on our website – Click here.

At Ravens Wood School, our students’ Personal Development is an integral part of our curriculum. Staff and students work together, to create a School with a culture of ‘Keeping Safe in the Sixth Form’ and safeguarding. This is supported by our extensive Personal, Social and Health Education curriculum provision across Years 12 and 13. For more information.
All students complete our three-stage Induction Programme which takes place from June to August. This is designed to immerse students in the subjects they have chosen, prior to meeting our teachers in the Autumn term.
